The Game Pass is the best value in gaming today. You people are missing out.

Nah it's great I've played like 400 dollars worth of games in the last two months for the cost of less than one of those games.

I don't. I owned the 360 and the Xbone. The 360 was a fantastic console while the Xbone just collected dust for most of its life cycle. Game pass was fairly worthwhile though.

Because games don't stay on it forever, you'll end up having to buy the few games it has that are worth playing anyway.

Subscription services do a really good job at tricking people into thinking they're good value when they really aren't, because most people are bad at budgeting.

All of the first party Microsoft franchises are on GP forever, and they launch on GP Day 1 of release. It's an incredible deal and I haven't purchased any games for my XSX in over a year.

Gamefaqs is full of weebs that hate Xbox.

I just don't see why you'd get an Xbox instead of a gaming PC these days

Microsoft has done a lot to support PC in recent years, so you're getting the full experience you'd get from an Xbox plus you can do even more with it

XBONE had like 2 exclusives during its entire lifespan (Halo and Forza)

PS4 cleaned shop during last gen

Its just kind of leftover bad will from the bad Xbone launch and the 360 getting complacent and focusing too much on the Kinect during the end of its life cycle, both of which are big reasons everyone just got a PS3/4.

By now, the PS5 and XSX are like, basically the same anyways, but Gamepass is a great deal and the Series S is the current best way to game on a budget bar none.

PC and Game Pass plus PS5 is the best combo.

And if you bought DLC for the game (since it's usually not included) you lose access to content you paid for

The Xbox is pretty much useless these days if you have a good PC. I'm actually glad this is the case.

That's a personal problem. I wouldn't buy an exhaust for a car I don't own. I wouldn't buy DLC for a game I don't own.

I agree, the DLC would be awful value. How does this pertain to gamepass?

I actually preferred the OG Xbox over PS2 and 360 over PS3, but I was very put off by Xbox Ones always online crap they tried to pull at the beginning and just ended up going with PS4.

Not caring about the Xbox doesn't equate to hating it.

It's poor value to pay a subscription fee just for most of your library to be temporary and give you even worse value when you want to play DLC. You're ALWAYS better off just buying the games you want individually.

Good thing I do neither of those. I typically throw 10-40 hours at a game and then never play it again. Too many games to replay shit. And there are few games I ever buy DLC for, especially games I don't own.

So I've played more than about 18 games on GP since October. It's a great value for me.

Sony and Nintendo build their shit to last. The Japanese just make better electronics. Microsoft cuts corners.

It's not that people hate Xbox, it's that everything Xbox offers is also available on PC. Every Xbox exclusive has also released on PC day 1. Even gamepass is on PC.

With PlayStation and Switch, some of their games do eventually release on PC, but you still need their consoles to play some of their IP's.

It's a great value if you have a lot of games you want to play. I'll buy the dlc for 1-2 games per year at most. Every other game, I'll play through the story one time and never touch the game again.

So I save tons of money just playing those games through gamepass and buying the 1 or 2 games that I want the dlc for, on Steam.

Weird. Never had an issue the disc tray. Hell, only issue I had with my original OG Xbox was it got fried due to a power surge .__. The replacement I got has given me zero issues.

Absolutely not. There are countless games on Gamepass that would fall under the category of "not worth the price, but definitely a good game". That game you'll play for maybe 10-15 hours, but once you finish you put it down and never pick it up again.

Definitely a good game, but will that game be worth $40, $50, $60? Probably not, especially if there are also a dozen other available games that fall into the same category. With a $15/month sub fee, you can play all of them instead of waiting a year or more for them to like, show up at a used game story, maybe for a more reasonable price.

I don't get the hype over Game Pass. I'm not trying to play those old ass games.

I like Xbox but they really need to get more first party games out more regularly.

Hi-Fi Rush was pretty great. Hopefully Starfield delivers.

Don't have high hopes for Redfall but would be nice to be surprised.

But yeah Game Pass is great. There's always stuff on it I want to play. A great way to play a variety of games.

I chose Xbox One over PS4 simply for the Forza Horizon series, and I don't regret it at all. Though I realised racing games aren't that popular on this site.

All of this. There are dozens of games I've beaten over the years thanks to gamepass that I would have otherwise never even purchased. Absolver, Hades, Deathloop, Hi Fi Rush, Shadow Warrior 2 and 3, the Personas, Scarlet Nexus, Danganronpa, etc. Etc.

It's not a great value for me because I already own most of the games I would've played on it. I don't like games coming and going from it. In the long run, it'll cost me less money to buy the games I care about than constantly pay for Game Pass. Game Pass was nice for the first couple months I had my Series X, but once I had played everything I wanted to, I had no reason to subscribe to it anymore. It was nice being able to experience the trainwreck of the "Definitive Edition" of San Andreas without directly paying for it, though.

If you would rather own every single game you play or only play a few games a year then yeah stick to that.

But I grew up renting games far more than owning them. So that isn't an issue for me personally. I play like 40-50 games a year.

The exclusives for Xbox seem to be FPS and racing games, neither of which are genres that i care about.

People who hate popular things leftover from the 360 era and weebs.
