Who looks at Cyclops and says they want to be THAT guy over Logan, Gambit, Beast, Toad, Blob, etc?

I like the direction they took his character in modern stories. The harsh burden of leadership forces him to make hard decisions for the greater good of the mutant race. He has become more like Magneto. It's refreshing that he is like this instead of a straight laced generic leader who exists only to make rebel characters like Wolverine look better.

I remember he had alot of romance arcs post-Phoenix Jean but the mutant hotties in the universe were naive and didn't know any better. Just wanted to ride the boy scout tool and then move on.

I only knew one guy whose favorite xman was cyclops.

The only memory I have of it was three girls making fun of him one night when we were drinking in college after we threw an xman movie on, guy threw a fit and started screaming at them about how honorable and what a leader the dude was.

Only thought I had was yeah, this fits

The comics made him into a revolutionary badass after he killed Xavier. Everyone hates on him even though he had his reasons. In the same moment, Beast becomes unbearable and one of the worst characters in all fiction, including Adolph Hitler.

Later on, he becomes a total rebel though. Its one of those awesome turn arounds so if you read comics, I suggest reading them because he's pretty awesome. He and Magneto teamed up around that time.

I mean....you can say that same thing about any character in X-Men by just talking about their abilities lol.

All Woverline did was cut someone and get blown up and not die.

I've grown to appreciate Cyclops over the years honestly.

People don't like him because he's the contentious rival to fan-favorite character Wolverine and he's typically characterized as the boy scout with a stick up his ass.

But Scott kinda has to be a hard ass to manage all of the different personalities on the team, and is often tasked with making the hard decisions. Must be a lot of pressure.

That would be a cool add-on for Geordi's character now that he doesn't need a traditional VISOR anymore.

He could have a Face Mounted, Synaptic Controlled Phaser mounted on what would used to be his VISOR.

Remember that time Wolverine tried to kill Cyclops because he was jealous over Jean? And then Cyclops came back after recovering from a nearly fully broken body and lasered Wolverine until he was basically just a skeleton. Good times.

Man you really don't like Cyclops. I didn't really like him too much when I was younger, but once I started reading the comics, I saw he was the best leader the X-men ever had. It was like he always was doing something awesome. He did suck post Avengers versus X-men for many years though.
