I think theyve taken Black and Whites place as the most divisive games in all of Pokmon.

Personally counting the DLC I think theyre top 5

If youre not counting the DLC. Theyre probably somewhere in the 17-12 range.

Blue > Gold > I don't remember

Second worst. BDSP is the worst. I never bothered with the DLC, I disagree with such practices in cases like these.

I rank SwSh pretty low. Like maybe at the dead bottom of all the mainline ones that I've played -- with or without DLC.

Its probably somewhere around the middle, though definitely higher if we count DLC. Still in the middle even with DLC though.

I place these games in the middle tier, not awful but not great.

Very low. Probably above gen 1-2 because they're very outdated and DP due to the shit engine though.

B&W divisiveness is fake news, they're widely recognized as some of the best games. The only detractors are hard genwunners who reject B&W in particular for daring to have a full game of new Pokemon and preventing them from using the same team for 20 years.

I enjoyed them quite a bit... Still boot them up occasionally to do Raids and Adventures... but I'd still put them around the middle of the rankings... Only over Gens 4 and 6...

I consider them the worst, and I loved 6 and 7.

8th gen is the first time I've been like "no, not even on sale".

I liked it quite a bit. Not the best but good games. Only gen I absolutely hated was Sun and Moon. Those games sucked

Before charging money for extra product, maybe the original product can be not suck. And Sw/Sh was sucktacular.

Pretty much proved my point that it was a semi petty thing considering.

It's pretty much a given at this point that dlc is how they'll add anything nominal to the post game so I have to count it.

It's in the upper middle section for my rankings due to it.

Which comes off as petty as while there is a point to a base game should be good, if DLC can improve on it somewhat it shows they have learned from some mistakes.

SwSh had some good ideas with middling execution. The sports plot was really fun out the gate, but after Kabu, it gets flabby as hell until Spikemuth. Raids are a fun mechanic, especially with pals. I'd put it as the best first set of games of a 3d generation so far.

As for the DLC, I LOVED Isle of Armor. It was such a comfy summer adventure and with Urshifu being my favorite Gen 8 mon, having an entire adventure with it was so fun.

Crown Tundra was alright. Postgame legendary smorgasbords are getting boring by now and the terrain was obnoxious to explore with SwSh's physics. Was begging for a paraglider to make the constant up and down setup more tolerable.

Had a good time overall, definitely the best of the 3D pokemon games outside of Legends: Arceus

No I think just writing off DLC for whatever reasons can often come off more as petty regardless of rather or not the base games are good or bad.

one of the worst. i only borrowed it from a friend and didn't play any DLC. definitely felt like a step back from the 3ds games. still not a bad game but one i probably won't bother to play again.
