Why would I have a problem with this? I literally have stated multiple times kids need to be more educated about this stuff.

Seems difficult to prove, given my charity work, protest work, and donations, but I'd rather not get into the weeds of his purity test.

I think it's society's responsibility to provide education for children about disenfranchised groups of people and explain everything in a way for them to understand and learn empathy.

You can't expect children's media to explain everything, schools and home life should also involve reasonable discussion and teaching well-behavior

Well it depends. Is this a one off episode? If so, then yes it indirectly sends a confusing message. If she's a reoccurring character, then there's obviously time for them to establish a real character arc and develop the character more.

The thing about cartoons from the 80s and early 90s is that while they look fine in still shots, the vast majority of them do NOT look fine in motion, especially the ones that were exclusively made to sell toys -- and that was basically every 80s cartoon.

Hard, hard disagree. Most of the older designs look hideous. All of them do, actually. The 2003 is the worst.

I think the newest design in the cartoon posted is the only one that's tolerable -- and I grew up with lots of Strawberry Shortcake stuff in my house, since I had a half sister who grew up in the seventies/early eighties.

Ah yeah I can see that. Still, I'd like to see this kind of style brought back and made to look better in motion more often.

Strawberry Shortcake is a strange case. She was originally a line of stationary and greeting cards done in watercolor that were sold in Hallmark stores. Then she got her own toys, with the cartoon being last.

There was another character franchise sold in Hallmark stores introduced around the same time named Holly Hobbie. She was a pioneer girl in the vain of Laura Ingalls from "Little House on the Prairie." She never got as big as Strawberry Shortcake did. Personally, I think it's her design since they never showed her face.
