Huh? How do you explain what trans is to a child if you are depicting them as a cis woman? All you would be doing is reinforcing negative stereotypes when they actually meet a real trans person.

I grew up with the first design, but I think the coolest design by far is the 2009 version. I like the design of the new character Bannoffee (I have a recipe for the pie I make for summer), though I wouldn't mind seeing her in the 2009 art style.

I already answered the question. I'm not qualified enough to give a proper answer. It's a delicate subject and I'm not going to answer with something someone else would be better to answer for me.

Because the only distinction that this character is trans is because her name is literally Trans Berry. It does nothing to explain to children what being trans absolutely means.

Well, that's a shame, because this says you weren't even paying attention to the video or my first post in the topic, both of which give the character's name as Banoffee Pie.

She id's as "a trans berry" in her dialogue. "Berry" seems to be in Shortcake verse a substitute for "person".

Alternative take: they presented the trans person as looking like your average person for the sake of presenting the idea that trans people are normal people.
