because every episode of scooby doo ends with velma and the others having the bad guy of the episode arrested. its like complaining about phoenix wright's super being him accusing whoever hes fighting of murder in mvc3. its just a funny fighting game implementation of something the character constantly recognizably does

velma does the glasses thing too in the game. but no, pretty much every episode ends with them talking to cops onscreen and (mostly velma) explaining the mystery to everyone because shes the smart one

tbh it would be funnier if the move did somehow result in a scene of the other character hogtied while she talks, but a cop car just drive by scooping them up and driving off a cliff is funny in its own right

it doesn't require familial relationship, but still within the same home/household, hence the "domestic" part. neighbor violence is not domestic, but still violence nonetheless.
