A Republican country and the Democratic one.

We have to make sure that we get all the black people, brown and LGBT people out of the areas that stay Republican, area however. Honestly let's put the chips on the table. Republicans make life for everyone worse. There is nothing good that comes from the republican party that helps the average person.

Two Nations. One Nation slightly right wing ( the Dem side) and another nation is that is a fascist hellscape, which Republicans keep pushing for. And this isn't hyperbole. Look at the laws that Republicans are pushing out. Look at their leaders . Look at the shit they support.

Seventh grade was world history.

The big caveat to that idea is the socioeconomic impact for minorities and low wage folk living in the left leaning states.

Is there a guarantee life would be better in that scenario, or worse or no different at all? Would it play out exactly the same as it is currently just with more liberal-based policies and laws? Will there still be poverty, who takes on the blue collar work, etc.

So from a straightforward idea, I get it however much like Brexit this endgame could have just as severe consequences for a split even if dumbfuck red states also want getting the short end of the stick themselves. Of course it'll probably happen anyway because democracy has failed now.

Climate change will not stop at the borders you create. This is suicidal.

The main foreseeable problem is when their country doesn't work out, they might try to go to war with us and take back the whole country. Their benefits on joining the military would be too good to pass up

Its been proved that Republicans can change. A lot of them are molded based on the politicians that are in office. Its not wise to split a country just to make evil people happy. That would be asking for a civil war the moment they get military power.

The solution would be cleaning up the issues with disinformation online being spread and eligibility laws for who can run. Republicans can exist in politics, but certain ones that we have today really shouldnt be eligible for office.

It's a bad idea. That can cause a lot of infighting potentially a Civil War. Gives other nations across the oceans a chance to infiltrate and destroy our country.

The issues can be solved by Policies that can be put in place to stop the nonsense in the government . And that will require putting people in the right positions in office. Use the current system to our advantage

Not gonna work because there are often sharp political divides within states between rural and city areas. Missouri is basically two huge islands of blue in Saint Louis and KC surrounded by a sea of red rural land.

Are there any states for people who dont give a shit about politics? Thats where Id be, seems the most fun.

And how is entertainment viewing divided? Do we look back at every movie/tv show/book/etc and decide if they should go to the democrats or republicans? And what about moving forward? Do sports teams break up and then redraft teams based on what side the player is on? That seems like a lot of work.

It would also be a bad, unworkable idea in the short run.

If liberals had any balls, they would suggest annexing the red parts of the country, toppling officials and their wealthy supporters/donors, and reeducating the populace, which is what they should have done after the Civil War. But they would rather keep them around and tolerate them, separate themselves from them instead of confronting them here and now when it needs to happen.

So what happens with the swing states? What if Ohio gets put into the Republican country. Then they swing Democrat.

Or Arizona gets put into the Dem country but become Republican.

The civil war was because the south wanted to drag along people who didn't want to be there. What we should have done was execute Confederate leaders.

It wouldn't work out and the amount of black, latino and Asian conservatives are higher than people think. Still clinging to religious nonsense and gender roles. Plus I wouldn't want to risk living in a more liberal country that I couldn't keep my guns.

Because I wanna know how things would wind up. Which side my favorite actors and so on would go to, which side my sports teams would go to. Id like to at least have fun during this hypothetical.
