Let's say DeSantis wins in 2024. Then what happens?

I remember that scene in V for Vendetta when Natalie Portman is in jail and she reads that note on the toilet paper about the government going after all LGBT and arresting them in the dead of night. I think America might turn into something like that. Not to mention we have a GOP SCOTUS that is making crazy rulings. It will be a very dark day.

If Trump or DeSantis wins in 2024, they will not leave office willingly in 2028. They will stay there and ignore the Constitution. Elections will be done away with.

And I think citizens will take it - because we are all obese and lazy. As long as we have our McDonalds we will be content to just go along with it.

That is just me, though...

Yeah, America doesn't have much longer. Republicans are so far right, all it takes now is one more Republican president to completely gut democracy and turn this place into a fascist Hellhole.

Some thought Roe wouldn't be undone but they did it. When Republicans state what they want to do, they do it. Remember how Trump wanted to have more than 2 presidential terms? If he was elected again, you know he would have done something to dismantle the limitation.

Well, that is what I mean. What is going to stop them? Ordinary citizens? No way - America is extremely overweight and lazy.

I, too, was once 15 and looking down my nose at the general populace with oversimplistic views.

There is no one that will be able to do the same to America.

Weird. I logged off the Internet and stepped outside, and when I came back abortion was still banned in almost half the country. The Supreme Court and the Republican Party were still vowing this was only the beginning as well.

It must be nice to be so privleged that you can tell people being stripped of human rights that it's all in their heads.

it's already over, they made gerrymandering to benefit your party legal and in October they're gonna make Trump's attempt at fake electors legal so Republicans win even when they lose and if you think Democrats are gonna use those rules as well then you don't know Democrats.
