I liked Minecraft when it was more simple. I miss the old snow biomes in alpha with the snowflakes and knowing nothing but chopping, shoveling, building igloos, fuckin around with ice and pretending to hide from dangerous night creatures.

Problem is, even if I were to play the old a1.xx versions again, I've been corrupted. We really need mind erasers. I need to erase like 2000hrs of minecraft since alpha. I used to come home after work and just dig a fuckin hole all night.

Its crazy but Minecraft might end up being considered the GOAT game in terms of sales and overall popularity.

I would've loved to have been 6 years old when it came out. I was closer to 26 sadly.

So Minecraft has little switches and stuff that you can automate

and you can make it nearly infinitely big

so could you like, set up a complex system of switches and whatnot to actually program shit

and with enough size and time run Minecraft within the game of Minecraft and destroy existence probably

But there was something cool about how, in the old days, there was actually an outer limit to it, and people would literally travel for months in-game to reach them. Like the ultimate in exploration.

Knowing that there's no end and the game just keeps generating new land no matter how far you go sort of makes those kind of endless trips feel kind of pointless and way less interesting.

Microsoft made back the money they spent on Mojang in less than a year.

their own projections didn't have it making profit for like 2 or 3 years. but it did it in 11 months.
