97F here today. Went to get gas and this old truck pulled in behind me, windows down and the woman driving it was wearing a damn hoodie.

I had a heatstroke just looking at her.

Yeah I see people wearing jackets and jeans in Vegas and it's 105 out in the shade

Last time I got some gas there was a malfunction with the hose. Bunch of excess fuel spilled out onto the concrete.

Fortunately I had several extra trays of crystallized cat litter that I could spread onto it and absorb the liquid before it could get into the water system. I encourage everyone here to keep trays of cat litter in their vehicles for emergencies such as these.

Cat litter is regularly used in areas where it snows a lot to help get traction.

Yeah I actually had to use it here when I decided to try and escape my driveway without shoveling it first. But I only had to walk up to the house.

They should have something called a Spill Kit which is designed to clean up leaks like this. It'll have absorbent specifically designed for whatever kind of liquids are likely to spill there, as well as somehing that can be used to make a dam and prevent it running further away. I believe all gas stations are required to have them. Might need to ask an employee if you can't find it.

Yeah, a gas station is very well equipped for a spill like that. Spread the oil dry on it, put absorbant pads down if they're available and use the eels to create a barrier at any nearby storm drains.

This lass near me wears a Parker coat no matter the weather. I've known her for years and she said she just feels cold a lot. Also I personally don't like shorts or short sleeved T shirts for the most part so overdress myself in hot weather and I wear black a lot. I manage just fine though.
