Why is TC acting like the majority of people are supporting Heard?

Does he think thats a lot of support shes getting? Go and look at all the love and support Depp is getting. Now that is a lot.

He's not. He's acting like the amount of support she's getting is surprising. And if you're just looking at the case objectively, then it is. But when you take into account how many people could have had extenuating reasons to side with Amber and were letting their preconceived conclusion determine their logic rather than their logic determine their conclusion, it's not that surprising.

The few people who never stopped supporting Amber Heard are likely man haters, or those who believe men are always the abusers and women always victims.

Can someone help me out figuring all this out? I haven't been following it much but what I've gathered:

The Judge in the UK deemed that 12 out of the 14 assaults that Heard alleged were true so Depp lost

Heard then wrote an article about the whole ordeal

Then Depp sued her over said article for defamation and won

But if the big trial was over defamation and what was alleged was true ruled by the initial judge then shouldn't have Heard won?

Unless there was corruption involved

Or am I just completely missing something?

The small support she does have are women who are misandrists and male feminists (the ones who read buzzfeed and jezebel religiously). Both groups have their heads in the sand.

If you go on Twitter, you'll notice the small support she has all have their replies turned off. It's very telling.

In recent years when more women have felt confident to speak out about legitimate abuse cases its truly a shame that women like Amber Heard abuse that public trust for their own benefit. Ultimately it appears that Amber Heard abused her husband, sister, employees, the courts, and the public.

See this is what I am talking about. And then she blocked replies. There are around 20K people that agree with her. This is why male victims of a DM abuse have an up hill battle . People like this would just out right lie.

I watched the trial and, at least to me, it was crystal clear that they had an exceptionally malignant relationship and that Amber Heard was, if nothing else, at least as belligerent as Depp, if not more so.

I wouldn't be surprised if Depp was abusive. The shit Heard did was pretty damn abusive, too.

Ive seen some of my irl friends who try to take a "neutral" stance on this case and they retweeted shit that says

"Despite whatever the outcome of this trial, what this trial really does is hurt female dv victims from stepping forward and the man always wins"

Ill try to find the tweets but its like they didnt even see that Depp himself was a victim and only saw "man won"

Regardless of any abusive behavior Depp may have done, it seems clear that he did not do most of the things Heard said he did like chokeslam her through a glass table or rape her with a wine bottle or write threatening messages on the wall in his blood.

Amber is embarrassing herself by trying to make it sound like shes had her free speech taken away. Legal experts completely disagree:

Amber Heard on Wednesday lamented that she lost the right to "speak freely and openly" after a Virginia jury found her liable for defamation in her ex-husband Johnny Depp's case against her.

But legal experts told Insider that the six-week, sensationalized trial was never truly about freedom of speech and posited that the verdict is unlikely to have future implications for First Amendment law.

"This isn't really a free speech issue, this is really a credibility issue," said Neama Rahmani, a former federal prosecutor and the president of West Coast Trial Lawyers. "The jurors found that she lied, and she knew she was lying."

While the First Amendment enshrines Americans' right to freedom of speech, the doctrine does not protect against defamatory speech false statements that are presented as fact and do subsequent harm.

"This is not about the First Amendment," Mitra Ahouraian, a Beverly Hills entertainment attorney, told Insider.

"You cannot lie and say statements that harm people. That is not protected speech," she added.

Depp's legal team worked hard to poke holes in Heard's story during cross-examination, highlighting inconsistencies in her testimony and casting doubt on her reliability in a trial tactic that proved successful.

For instance, Heard claimed to not play any role in abuse, but was contradicted by a recording played in court that showed Heard saying she "hit" Depp, according to Ahouraian. Heard testified she acted in self-defense.

Heard also said in 2018 she had donated the $7 million from her divorce settlement to charity, but testimony from the trial revealed she hadn't actually donated the money. She said she hadn't yet donated it because Depp sued her for $50 million, but that she still planned to.

Several experts also told Insider that Heard's graphic descriptions of violence committed against her by Depp did not match up with the photos of her injuries presented in court.
