TLDR: Gamers Nexus bought motherboard as open box which had damaged pins. Gamers Nexus tried to return the board but was declined by Newegg. Newegg stated the reason for the decline was because GamersNexus had damaged the board. The motherboard had a RMA sticker from Gigabyte that shows Newegg tried to RMA it themselves under Magonell Associates and refused to to pay for the repair. This happened in July. They then forgot to remove RMA sticker and sold it to GamersNexus back in September.

Fuck Newegg. Never give them a penny, thats literal fraud/scam. They tried reaching out to Gamers Nexus who has been ghosting them. Newegg has been rightly getting roasted on social media.

this became obvious when they started their lottery bullshit.

I live a block from a MicroCenter, so no need to deal with them anymore.

Well yeah everyone knows newegg is garbage. Only thing you should buy there is digital codes for games if they have a good deal on it

bought two gaming PCs from them in 2019 at an amazing price (Ryzen 5 3600 / RTX 2070 Super) for $899 each, for reference, the GPUs alone retail for $500. never had a single problem with them. got a gaming chair for my wife in January, had a missing piece, which they replaced in like two days. been shopping there for big electronics purchases since like 2010. nothing but good experiences. pretty sure i still have a credit card with them too, but haven't used it in a few years

I was the same about a week ago. Never heard anything bad about them till I started researching them and it seems Newegg has being doing poorly since 2012.

I know some people who worked there and apparently the company was getting worse and worse leading up to being publicly traded.

I stopped like 10 years ago after multiple bad experiences. I wish Newegg nothing but the worst.

The only thing I've bought from New Egg was my Phanteks P500 case. Took forever to ship, which delayed my build, but otherwise no issues with the case and it's parts.

Newegg was good in the beginning. Something changed I can't remember exactly what year but it was like a switch and the site has been complete garbage ever since.

No reason to buy from Newegg unless it's literally not available anywhere else.

If you live near microcenter go there 100%

Newegg was great many years ago before being bought out by a Chinese company. Now, their customer service is known to be pretty shit when trying to RMA/refunding stuff.

There's only a handful of stores they're not very big in terms of reach but they're the best computer hardware store by far.

Fry's Electronics use to have great deals on parts but became pretty crappy towards the end, though Micro Center has always had better customer service in my experience.

Fry's is and was always an appliance store. Their PC section was smaller than microcenter's despite being 4x bigger.

I used to only go for console shit towards the end because for some strange reason it was easy to find shit there that was hard to find everywhere else.

New egg always seemed shifty to me just the way their site looks makes me feel like I am going to get scammed.
