i don't know if you mean me. i don't spend a whole lot of time in mafia topics, but i've been on board 8 forever and ever. i suspect the theme (and a player drought) brought in some new faces

I'm barely a year into B8 and went through a name change last year.

That is not as many votes as I expected to see.

After reading things through, it sticks out to me that MZero's entire game so far is 7 useless posts on page 1 with a passive, low-hanging fruit vote on Ulti.

Keep in mind I live in Japan so I have been asleep/at work since post #52! I just caught up during my lunch break

Well I *was* hoping for some banter while I gathered my thoughts zzzzz.

I find myself unconvinced on Bat. I've seen worse "slips" than that came from players who turned out to be town. The standoffish attitude he reacted with after is generally not alignment indicative. He needs to talk more.

So onto the votes.

i feel ok with Scare catching the slip and voting him immediately.
I don't feel ok with Death's. By Death standards that vote came out quickly.
Ulti's vote felt baiting more than serious
Tidus was on Ulti for... I'm not sure what reason before jumping to Bat his next post a few minutes. I'd like to hear more from Tidus about BOTH these moves.
Banana hedges slightly, but I'm fine with it because he's also right - We need to get Bat talking so the game doesn't stagnate around him.

But what's also interesting is who didn't vote:

This is Plum's last post and it's superficial. Plum gives no reason for unvoting Ulti and merely fans the comment of the other person who talked about it being a slip but didn't vote for Bat.

Saying someone else is sus =/= A reason for unvoting the person you're already on and leaving it on no one.

It doesn't actually speak to your opinion of Ulti.

I contrast this to Death's reaction, which is simultaneous in time with yours, where it seems like he's trying to find a reason outside of said "slip" to vote for him that I don't really think is there.

Yes hello, it's me with a clearer head. I said something dumb without knowing it and then was an ass about it instead of explaining anything. So that's where that came from.

I do stand by my opinions on Death and Scare, even if I gave them like a clown.

First off, I find it funny that you like his reluctance to vote but not mine
Because thats what I was doing, waiting to see what Bat himself would say about the whole matter
And Bat responded in a way that I didnt expect and also didnt think was town.
The slip alone didnt feel like enough reason to vote a man, but I didnt say anything because I wanted Bats response to be 'unguided' if that makes sense.
And my vote was definitely not at the same time as Scare's.
So dont give me that 'I needed another excuse to vote him' nonsense (especially when I said the same thing about Tidus). I just needed more.

I will grant you that Bats latest post is more in line with what I wanted. But he would have looked better if he reacted like that from the start.

As for Mike and Plum. They are not the same.
Mike questioned everything but it seemed clear to me that he was not fully convinced of anything (he even had a question mark in his original comment)

Plum on the other hand felt convinced enough to unvote Ulti. So I was wondering why not just vote Bat at the same time?

No, I've at least given some feelings on the game.

Honestly I think Banananor is the player most coasting right now. Regardless of how Banananor usually is.

I admit that that's the downside of doing what I tried to do.

Bodyguard also feels like a safe claim to make, especially in a game this small.

It didn't occur to me at the time that I was kicking a hornet's nest and also all the hornets were on fire. All I meant to say was "Ulti is really making himself a target".
