I'm also a full timer, unfamiliar with most people here other than Ulti's shenanigans, and ill IRL to boot. Perhaps my voting is a different measure of fishing?

To elaborate why the rolefishing thing is dumb:

If I were scum, I know whether Shonen is lying or not. Based on that, I'd already have context for what the hell Tavish is trying to claim. I've got no scum motive to fish anything further from that. I would know whether BG is in the game, and then based on scum roles pretty much deduce further. Theres no reason to pry any further.

From a town perspective, I don't know whether BG is in the game or not. I don't know how hard of a counterclaim that is. I don't want him to reveal what hes got as town, but if he could provide any insight either way on what is wrong with the role without compromising himself further I'd absolutely be interested. I'm not fishing, he already revealed he had something. I am absolutely interested in if what he has revealed already can be given more context without compromising the role itself.

There are a few sus things about him, but most of the things he said are good, especially with the role thing.
those few things are what is keeping me from bringing that number up

I despise this post. This is what we were all thinking but specifically calling him out led to him coming back. The longer time went by the more likely he was scum just giving up and dying.

To refer to other things that happened while I was sleeping. This logic is dumb. He'd long since past the point where any reaction out of him on the subject wouldn't be natural. If hes town that gave up keeping him silent isn't doing any good. Its not like its suddenly going to become more damning if hes scum. If hes town I want him talking. Hell if hes scum I want him talking.

Your second line is basically why I inquired. Assuming hes actually town scum has likely already deduced -something- from his claim. Hes already partially compromised. Something like "his role doesn't function" could possibly be an answer without giving away too much more, for instance. As I said, it was a question I'd been wanting to ask but struggling to phrase. If he couldn't answer he couldn't answer, but I was interested.

i (and presumably everyone else) don't put much stake in day 1 gut feelings, but i could share mine. there's just not a lot to work with

i respect everyone's play- i'm not going to pretend i can see through them

chris is being supportive and ulti is being a pinball, and while i can't rule anything out i don't get a scum vibe from either. red seems pretty normal

i'm also not going to blame anyone like moon for hyper analyzing stuff

some of death's posts makes my brain feel like scrambled eggs, but i- for whatever reason- doubt scum would be so confident in saying a scumslip "didnt feel like enough reason to vote a man"

i could imagine tavish as scumteam with bat, but i could imagine a lot of things

As weird as Isquen is. I am not confident enough to suspect him for it.

And this is not meant to further pile up proof against Bat or anything, but I still think he should at least vote someone.

So basically, Isquen just explained his Mike vote in a roundabout way I had to force out of him instead of just... Actually saying he thought Bat was town and he thought Mike was scum voting Bat. Then he gets cute with it and hedges on basically everything.

Isquen is being intentionally obtuse for funsies, and I'm not going down that rabbit hole with 30 minutes left in the day.

Which means bat is probably town. As does like a lot of things from my quick skim. Also I don't know how I was accepting of the lynch, while I haven't had a lot of time this day one I was pretty clear I don't think it is anything good to kill bat today. Also not interested in red.

It is a 13 player game and bg is very weak. There is nothing you can claim to clash with bg wtf death

Its just that here and there it sounded like you were prepared for the death of Bat and already planning to deal with the day after.

Killing a BG isn't bad mafia practice, especially in a game this small.

Killing a protection claim on the basis of a "slip" that isn't a slip is horrible and if icdie night one I demand you all murder plum for me even if it is just so I can explain mafia theory to him in dead chat

Also, I would love to see the stats on hectic end of days vs quiet end of days. The last time I remember someone making the quiet end of day argument, the last second lynch was town power and the escaped quiet lynch was scum

That all being said I don't have a terrible amount of investment in this game thankfully so maybe bat is indeed just newbie scum who slipped. But most slips turn out not to be such and I don't even view it as a slip. I like to lynch scum day one personally and when I can understand where someone is coming from it is usually town.

On the bright side Mike is probably town either way as it seems very not mafia to be like 'bg? No way bro I have a role' so that is nice.

You are arguing my entire argument when I say No Lynch day 1 is probably the strategically correct choice. I would be shocked if random die rolls were worse than B8 towns on day 1 lynches.

I think Bat has like, a 60% chance of being scum, which is good enough
