Wow just wow the nerve and hatred of some people at times is unbelievable.

I wonder if it was worth losing his job of 26 years.

A good rule of thumb is, when in doubt, just keep your mouth shut. This guy would still have a job if he had just STFU.

The anger itself is understandable. The actions are not.

You forgot he also assaulted a teenager and tried to force open a door into the back

Also fair for said employee to be dismissed as well. Their error could have killed that kid.

Apparently, the dad specifically requested no peanuts in the smoothie but didn't mention it was due to a food allergy.

In which case, I think he's SOL. Allergy precautions in food service are significantly more stringent than the response to "I don't want this" is. Unless you actually tell them that it's necessary to avoid cross-contamination, they're just going to avoid putting the item into your food, not take any extra steps to prevent cross-contamination.

If his son's peanut allergy is that severe then he should learn to make smoothies and other meals at home

That too. A smoothie place is unlikely to be able to get their blenders clean enough to make them safe for severe allergies, which actually means they should probably have refused to serve him if he had informed them of the allergy.

No one should go there, but people do tend to go after people that almost kill someone you love. I'm not sure he should have been fired for being pissed beyond belief that someone made a mistake by almost killing his son. (and the slur) The fellow was as angry, with good reason, as they could possibly be when he made his mistake. The person that almost killed someone wasn't angry at all when they didn't care about their mistake. For what it is worth killing someone by mistake is still a bigger crime.
