I'm kind of amazed so few people are talking about how f****** ridiculous Noelle is right now for a 4-star main DPS. Even with Serpent Spine instead of Stonethresher, she utterly eclipses Diluc, Klee and Yoimiya in DPS thanks to the buffs from Gorou and the Husk set. And with Stonethresher she's easily in the same tier as Itto.

This the exact reason why I don't even bother with Noelle. Too much is needed.

I don't even have C6 and building her without C6 is so not worth it. She needs too many stats to make up for the lack of offensive reactions, and without C6 it's like looking at the looming wall.

I still keep good DEF sands with double crit but no way in hell I would level that unless I have Noelle's C6 (or Itto but I didn't pull for her).

Also Klee is more adorable.

Honestly, if you don't have her at C6 you really shouldn't bother.

BTW I finally got Xiao to Lv 80 with 8 / 7 / 8 talents and the dude is definitely starting to show me that he's more of a hypercarry than a standard linear DPS scale. The amount of damage he does is really quite high. I can definitely see why he's the strongest DPS in the game at C6.

His biggest problem seems to be managing his energy recharge. I suspect he becomes much easier to manage with that ironed out. The cool down on his e feels just a bit too long, even with three charges.

Although technically he's really not anything like Hu Tao, he feels a lot like her in terms of managing his cooldowns and squishiness.

Noelle is only REALLY worth building if she's C6. Which is a high bar but totally reachable for long term F2P. Between the beginner banner, Paimon's Bargains, and the various banners she has been in, almost anyone who wants C6 Noelle and has been actively playing for a year probably has her. Many people who weren't trying have gotten her to C6 by sheer luck.

Once you have that, she's easy to build. You don't need a powerful 5 star weapon. Whiteblind is fine. And since she scales off of def, that gives you some extra leeway with artifact farming. You can trade crit for def without losing much DPS.

Then give her a good geo battery. Traveler is actually great at this. Ningguang is almost as good at energy generation with tons of extra DPS. And of course now you can add Gorou to the mix so she hits even harder.

Shes much easier to build now thanks to the Geo set freeing up the helm for non-DEF%

Well that's a decision you have to make.

If you hoard gems so that you can get the 5 stars you really want, then you're only going to be able to build up those banners' characters.

I think it's better to strike a balance between 4 and 5 star characters. Mainly pull on 5 stars, but also take 4 stars into consideration. If a banner has a mediocre 5 star but multiple 4 stars that you like, it's worth pulling if you ask me.

I think having several good high constellation 4 stars is more beneficial and more fun than getting one 5 star to C2 or C3.

Of course, it is like I said a long term F2P investment. You use your resources to get her over time. But you have to have the gems to invest in the first place. If you're not even getting all the gems the game gives you, then you'll have to wait longer.

The difference between constellations and a four-star and constellations in a five-star is that four star characters have glaring weaknesses at c0 that are erased by constellations. Five star characters are almost always 100% playable and good at c0, and the constellations basically just improve them from there.

Xiao and Hu Tao are the only two that seem to have a pretty significant improvement in viability with C1.

it took me a long time to get Noelle to c6 as well. also f2p and don't do abyss, either. it'll happen eventually, but I would encourage you to do dailies. they don't take more than a few minutes a day and require almost no setup or practice whatsoever.

this game was determined for me to get noelle to c6 as fast as possible <_<

I don't know why but despite these stats, C1, Homa and using Xingqiu, I feel like my Hu Tao just isn't cutting it.

Your EM is very low and CD is on the lower end of "good", those two factors are probably contributing the most to it. If you're running Albedo or Sucrose that could make up for some of the missing EM but generally the benchmark to hit accounting for those comps is in the range of 100-140

Today's event challenge...abyss' kill corrode + wolf corrode.

25340 points coz Kokomi Taser and Barbara Double Morgana tears it apart.
This event gave me a taste of what Raiden C2 feels like with all those damage buffs

this desire sensor is getting on my nerves. can't get a single atk sands to drop in the pale flame domain. not even a purple. it's hp, hp, hp, hp, hp, def, hp. i swear it isn't this difficult when you don't want one.

Yeah I did:

Noelle / Zhongli / Gorou / Albedo
Tartaglia / Xiangling / Kokomi / Bennett

Didn't even have to use potions

I don't think there's anything in the game that even comes close to as much damage as Tartaglia + Xiangling + Bennett

It's funny how you can look at Amber's kit now, especially compared to the other early four-star kits, and it seems like they made it out of pure malice.

Well, they kinda made up for it with the Hamayumi, since that bow encourages you to not use your burst at all. Of course, they continue trolling you with the shit billet drop rates, so...

BTW I really like my C2 Itto a lot but I can't help but feel like Noelle's DPS is way closer to his than it should be. Although really his is better against single-target and small groups of enemies.

It has wack targeting, and you can only get max damage if the target stands in that center of the crosshair.

Idk about 'extremely good' but yeah her quills and res decrease do help him a lot. His melt teams are still stronger imo but his freeze and mono cryo teams are better now.

My secondary account has no bow billets, no Amos and Amber at C4.

Sure but basically that's your energy regen move, which a relatively short cooldown. Then you burst.

But if my testing with Fischl is any indication, she rather dramatically increases your main attack damage. She also seems exceptionally powerful with Noelle and Eula

my Klee goes from like 6000 to over 10000 and I'm not even done raising her yet and testing with def/geo/crit gear.

Gorou was a really good buff for Itto and kinda-sorta OK for Noelle. Yun Jin seems like a rather unexpectedly massive buff for Noelle - who frankly didn't need another one lol.

She seems pretty good with Ningguang too.

30 pulls into the Shenhe banner to try and get a Yunjin and I get 2 Nings and a XQ because the game knows I already have them at C6 and loves to be a jerk!

Woooooah I got a Primordial Jade Spear in 10 pulls on the WB (was trying for one last Widsith)

Seems like a universally good spear, kind of like Primordial Jade Cutter
