The Switch is the same thing, no one in China wants an actual Chinese Switch because it has shit for games. PS4 you can just switch your store region. My wife had a Hong Kong Switch and PS4, and her Steam account is somehow set to China but not the Chinese client (this is what most people are doing, it's very weird that they get away with just explicitly having a Chinese region for the international client). You need a VPN for all of them though, always have. The important thing here is you are already playing Steam/PSN/Switch/whatever online games with people using a VPN to get around the firewall. Chinese gamers were never on international servers legally to begin with and this changes nothing.
