How was it not freely given? You can say he abused a power dynamic and I can say this was all 15+ years ago before CK was a household name and that he had little to any professional authority over these women.

None of that really matters. One adult asked another adult if they could masturbate in front of them and they said yes.

He may not have been a household name but he was still huge in the comedy circuits, so he'd still have power over younger female comedians.

That said, I don't know what to think. Yeah it could be seen as an abuse of power but at the same time, should he be excluded from pursuing certain people just because he has influence? As long as there was no overt or implied threat of repercussion if they didn't consent, anyway.

The only power he had over them is that they maybe looked up to him as a comic.

Are we going to say it's morally wrong to have a sexual encounter with someone because they admire you now? There was no evidence or even a claim of any kind of coercion here.

What he did was stupid, and pretty weird. But he's not the evil sexual predator some people seem to pretty desperately want to frame him as.

I would very much say it wrong to use admiration/hopes of furthering your career to gain consent for sexual acts. A band member sleeping with a star struck groupie or an actor letting himself be filmed naked because an A list actor could give him a role in a movie are both pretty scummy in my eyes.

Your last paragraph is a different point though - you first said Luis CK "did nothing wrong" which I (and he) disagree with. BUT I agree that he isn't a sexual predator (like Damon said), and thus different 'consequences' seem appropriate (for lack of a better word).
