I am all for supporting locally black owned businesses however telling people to simultaneously go out of there way to not support any white owned businesses seems like a horrible message that is going to turn people away from your cause.

This is unfortunate but not unintentional. We give a platform to people who want to fight racism with racism in order to encourage... racism.

Racism exists essentially as a capitalist ploy to keep the poor and working class fighting each other. In painting the people who support Black rights as racists, you provoke mildly racist White people into greater levels of racism by tricking them into thinking they're on the defensive. This is where you get a lot of "I wasn't taught to be racist!" rhetoric from White bigots who think they're fighting back.

This breeds conflict, not understanding or sympathy. I'm sure there are plenty who encourage this thinking it's the right thing to do. Let's support our community and give to those who need it most. All the majority of White America is going to hear is, "Screw White people." And that's exactly what the corporate suits want them to hear.

oh, i don't doubt the accuracy of the claim at all. because, as you said, there's a link and it says the same thing. your sincerity in creating this topic is what i question and i feel like you have a larger agenda at play here.

Yes, that's the problem. This could have been a positive message but instead it's a message strictly of racism.

It could have even been "support local businesses" or something more encompassing. This is blatant racism.

Seems like there's multiple problems with even suggesting the best & simplest solution.

We're not talking about a total group of people who are by any means known as peaceful & undangerous. The problem isn't a one way street but I think also a bigger problem is that we aren't acknowedging that fact. If I did not understand that I myself dress and act in an overtly aggressive manner, what would I be?

Apply that to the other side. And it's not exactly like that tendency is born out of self-defense. Everyone keeps asking for more education funding & social services for a reason. It's not a problem with what god gave us , or the color of anybody's skin... It Is a problem with what we are taught and how we choose to act.

Modern society is young. This all is a different story for people who grew up in the 70's tbh....... Or older. They ARE the original civil rights movement. Many of which had it bad, legally, because they were black or an immigrant or whatever the case may be. It's gonna probably take a generation or two if not a great deal longer to fix. But yeah

I see this sort of stuff all the time. I love how everyone looks, but I can't stand how certain people act. And really I'm not meant to. In multiple ways. Has absolutely nothing to do with biology or heritage. We choose to be a certain way. For good or bad.

No excuse in a cultural trend of acting unsightly . Or milking a sensitive issue to quell opposition.

If you have a race war or violent uprising fantasy or ideology, please seek help. Racism and violence are not only wrong, but we are better than that. Morally and logically, we all have to get along. As someone who spends a lot of time with a lot of black people from all across the world, and a lot of other races in general from all wakes of life, we must stop the trend of judging someone because they are white, and superimposing our idea of gait and fashion and manners without reciprocating their ideas somewhere in the middle.

Historically in America its harder for black people to start businesses. So supporting black-owned business is great.
