I've never met somebody who liked them. Mashed potatoes are a must, but personally I'm partial to the cranberry sauce. Combine 1 cup of sugar with 1 cup of water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then add 12 oz cranberries. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cover and cool completely, then refrigerate. You can also add orange juice (reduce the sugar) or use brown sugar instead of sugar. I made a batch once with Mountain Dew. The juices from the bird drip onto the veggies and they roast up super tender and totally delicious.
