Current Events > I finally finished Yakuza 2 Kiwami last night (big spoilers)

Holy shit, one of the best ending sequences of a game I've ever seen!
When Takashida and Ryuji have that fucking blast off shooting each other - SIIICK!
And before the credits when it ends at the timer hitting zero - that hit hard.

Fuck man that whole game was gooooooood.

I'm playing the yakuza games in order. Previously I had played like 20 hours of Y4 on PS3, but just fell away from it - not that I didn't like it, I just left for a bit and didn't come back. I'll play the remastered version once I finish Y3 remastered, but, I probably won't start Y3 for a couple weeks.
I've got too many games on the go at the moment

I'm about to finish Kiwami 1, but I'm stuck right at the end grinding up my Majima Everywhere fights so I can get all the Dragon stance skills. I've fought this mf almost 50 times

You're right; the last hour of that game is absurd to a degree that I don't think I've seen in a video game before. Beyond that, the remake makes everything in combat so fluid, and really does a nice job of making the cities feel alive.

I was always curious about these games but never wanted to spend money on them. Then Game Pass put a bunch of them on and I have fallen in love with the series.

With help from CyricZ walkthroughs, I can just enjoy the game without worrying too much lol.

I played Kiwami 1 K2, Y3, Y4 and I'm on Y0 right now. I'll be playing Y5 afterwards.

I fucked up especially bad and didn't do any of it throughout the game, failed to hit a specific encounter in Chapter 2 and Majima just stopped showing up lol

So I'm on the final chapter now doing all this shit for the achievement

Haha nice, I saw your topic where you said you missed him hiding under the giant cone. How were you able to get around that? Or does it just all open up again at the end of the game?

It pretty much just picks back up whenever you go do the cone encounter. Presumably I could have gone and done it at any time, but that's the point at which you get the Majima detector and he starts showing up around the map. If you don't do it he only shows up at specific story points.

Kiwami was the last instance of that thankfully. I feel the two ladies in that game were holdovers from 0 who didn't make it.

I mean K2 has gravure photoshoots which are a different level of awkward,.

I also thought it was funny that when I finished the first cabaret girl's substory, she had this whole thing about how she hopes I don't leave and start seeing a girl at a different club, and then I did exactly that

Ive only played 0 and kiwami 1. I own kiwami 2 and 3-5 though.

I can only play like 1 of those games a year though, its gonna take a long time to get through them all
