I am not going to call out any names since I don't want to put people on the spot. But there are some people with a history of a lying about horrible things. Like their family members were abused, they had a cancer, they were a girl when they really was guy, and a lot of other stuff.

We should be nicer to these people because to lie about something like that would seem to suggest that there is a something major going on in their lives. In this place is the only place that they can go and have someone to talk to show that they care. So if Poster A makes up a lie about having AIDS, more then likely there is something else wrong with him and he doesn't have the power to come out and say. But he talks about this fake issue to get some type of a support.

And doubly when it comes to that topic that we can't talk about or risk being banned. If someone talked about that, most of the time that means that person is hurting. If they need attention that bad , that means something is wrong.

I am not saying you have to be their life coach or anything like that. But maybe not pile on. There is this one poster who did something horrible like 10 years ago. And people still bring it up. Let him move on and grow.

I am not sure that I have spoken about her before. But I have depression. Depression is a hard, and since most of us are guys, it is evener hard to talk about things. I retreat into the world of anime and catgirls when I am feeling down. (lol). Some people have yet to find that escape and need to talk things out. So talking can help these people. And not I am not trying to be counselor or anything like that. If someone is sick they need professional help. But we can do our part too.

But what I am saying if lie about something like that, then something else has to majorly wrong. And guys (who are the biggest demo here) by in larger don't know how to express their feelings. Like any given time here someone can be ragged on for asking for help or get wonderful advice. If they lie and someone rags on them, then no harm no foul. They did not put themselves out there to get hurt .

Like I said I don't wish to call people out. But it is more than just one person. There a number of people who have made up horrible lies. And many times those people are not in a good place.

We don't know who is behind the screen name. It could just be some jerk who likes to mess with people or could be someone hurting. But we all know that it is a real person behind these post.

For some people this old message board is the escape from the horrors of their life. And they just can't say. CE I am sad please help me. For many that would make them seem weak. But if they say their girl friend was hit by bus. Then that is something he knows people will talk to them about.

I started thinking about this after seeing the Herman Cain award twitter. I have speak about being nicer before. But just looking at the meaness their sparked me to ask others to be kinder.

I guess it did not work.

I agree TC.
I have been saying that too much hatred goes on in a lot of threads where feelings get hurt.
