The fact that someone gives enough fucks to vote stuff a silly little message board thing like that is truly incredible, and I feel sorry for such an individual.

I feel the same way. The stuffer (or stuffers) have to spend so much time rigging these polls, it's really sad. Yet we keep voting in them, so we're not much better.

I've mentioned this a few times and the concensus was "Well the results are pretty consistent with expectations"...which imo misses the point entirely.

I would have stopped creating these polls ages ago as its a fruitless endeavour as the only person who has any say in the outcome is the stuffer

I look forward to seeing the FF11 skyrocketing between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. PST

for the record I started recording the saves starting from the morning, so I have the last 2.5 hours of Day 3, it's the graphing part I started working on when this round started


... aka everything's set by this point, then 2 & 11 pop up one right before Nick closes the round leaving 12 in the dust

I am of the mind there are 2 dedicated stuffers at this point

there is one that likes to push anything people complain about or is just known for being bad

and one that pushes all options to even

Im also curious to know if any of the built in anti stuffing features (like each account gets one vote, you need a registered account to vote) are in place.

Its easy to change your IP, but if you get one vote per account, does the stuffer have 60 alts laying around?

XI jumps from 6 votes to 11 between 00:05:03 to 00:10:03 PST
II jumps from 9 votes to 18 between 03:05:03 to 03:10:03 PST
XI jumps from 11 votes to 11 between 03:15:03 to 03:20:03 PST

00:05:03 to 00:10:03 also sees increases for FF8 (by one) in the 5-minute interval preceding the dump... 6 gets a vote at 22:55:04, 13 gets a vote at 00:45:03 (not sketchy)

03:05:03 to 03:15:03 also sees an increase for FF7 (by one), FF9 (by two), occurring 03:10:03-03:15:03 and 03:00:04-03:10:03 respectively. Only saves before this dump are the ones in the last dump. 7 gets another by 04:00:04, X one by 04:05:04, 7 again by 04:40:03, and lastly IX got 2 between 05:25:03-05:30:03

I was looking forward to seeing the near-vertical FF11 lines and I was not disappointed.

Come on, stuffer! Please! I gave my one poor insignificant vote to FF13 today.
It's not my favourite game in the series, but give it a chance!

If people are seriously that upset about how these polls end up with questionable results 3 years after their inception and want a more legitimate outcome, they are more than welcome to create their own topic series where instead of poll voting you have to post a message and say who/what you wish to vote for.

He already refuses to turn on the one vote per IP rule, which takes no effort to do.

Lol I don't usually bother with these anymore but when I do drop in I ask myself the same question. This is really the only reason I can't see the stuffer being anyone else but Nick, if it isn't him then why does he bother continuing with these at all?

I don't see what Nick or the stuffer get out of these topics, so the easiest answer is to assume they're one and the same. Otherwise there are two people who derive some kind of enjoyment out of these bizarre polls, and that thought is just too much to bear!

I occasionally have the urge to steal this topic series and do it the same way I handle the Rank the Tracks series, which I think would handle the obvious stuffing issue while also allowing everyone to rank everything involved instead of only choosing their #1 favorite (the problem being everyone would have to vote for everything).
