On one hand, sucks to be her, but on the other, I do kinda have to question refusing to test her. That seems like they're being petty and putting that above the public health value of being able to identify positive cases.

Pretty much this. It regardless of how she may have felt in the past, she should still be tested to make sure she isn't further spreading it.

Sure, but it's still interfering with her getting tested. Whatever the details, her getting tested is a good thing and that should be encouraged.

Most places do encourage symptomatic testing or testing for people that have had a high-risk exposure, though they'll often limit that to appointment-based sites that are better controlled and less busy (to reduce the risk to those present).

Sure, but she's going to try to spin it to make "the libs" look bad regardless of what happens. At least if they know she's positive, it opens up potential bioterrorism charges or other suitable punitive action.

Because the bioterrorism charges are going so well on the other maskless, non vaccinated folks. Especially the ones taking up hospital beds, killing the vaccinated population who needs a hospital for life threatening emergencies.

This publicity stunt of hers is nothing more than that. She has no plans to promote the seriousness of covid. She has no plans to promote vaccinations. She has no plans to promote masks and distancing. This is just a political publicity stunt that She would use as a political tool regardless how it went down.

There's considerable difference between carelessly spreading the virus by not taking suitable precautions and deliberately spreading it after being confirmed to be contagious. There's ample precedent for prosecuting people for knowingly spreading diseases in the past.

Believe me, I'd love to be rid of the anti-vaxx crowd as much as the next guy, but unfortunately, the law doesn't allow for prosecuting recklessness in the context of public health. Bring intent into the mix, however, and you can start getting somewhere.

I'm not interested in legal. The legal system has always been terrible.

Beyond that, there's nothing legal on Candace side either. This is just a political publicity stunt. Nothing more. She doesn't care about covid. She's telling her followers to not get vaccinated. More importantly she's actively telling her followers to spread it and throw all precautions to the wind if you have it or not. "If you get it, oh well. And even if you get it, you spread it to someone else, oh well" attitude.

So folks pearl clutching over her being refused a test from whatever this place was.....I have no sympathy. She is actively doing everything in her power to make sure the virus spreads and kills people. This has absolutely nothing to do with her wanting to know if she has it so she can quarantine like some here are spinning to defend her.

You're not wrong, but it's all we've got to rely on, so we might as well exploit it as best we can. To that end, there is value in identifying positive cases, even (especially, one could argue) cases that won't comply with the restrictions that positive cases need to follow.

We really don't have the legal system to rely on.

The legal system allows the unvaxxed population to spread the virus, willingly. Only the top tier morons get themselves in legal trouble.

The people in legal trouble are the ones more deranged ones who go over the top with it. Like the story of the woman who licked items and put it back on the shelf. Or the lady who spat in another person's face on purpose. Deliberate acts that take stupidity to a new level.

People like Candace isn't going to do that. Say she gets tested and we find out she's positive. She will continue to do as she is doing now just in the comfort of her home for 2 weeks (maybe). Given the recent trend, she will likely ramp of her anti covid rhetoric downplaying it more or recommending the latest snake oil treatment. Anyone expecting Candace to do anything extreme that will land her in legal trouble are setting themselves up for disappointment.

First of all she wasn't denied testing. She was denied testing at ONE SITE. I can only hope she suffers the same fate as that idiot mask denier from Texas that left a wife, two kids and a third on the way with no means to support themselves or any life insurance and then died of the thing he claimed to be a hoax. True poetic justice in my opinion.

That's also a good thing, though. If she's positive, she should be isolating. That she'll continue being the miserable waste of carbon that she normally is during that time is irrelevant and does nothing to negate the good that's done by positive cases isolating. If she doesn't isolate, that's when legal intervention becomes an option, which is also a good thing.

Whatever happens, the information a test would provide can only be beneficial or neutral, not harmful. That means a test is a good thing.
