It's a fun game but it has some serious design flaws.

It's slightly better than 3 or 4 but it's still, like, a 7/10. It's worth getting through as much as you can in a weekend.

I love Jess and Jess is enough reason for me to replay FC5 someday.

It's the best FarCry game. The music is astounding, there's plenty of missions and things to do and collect. The map is fun to explore. The characters are interesting. New Dawn is worth playing too if you end up liking 5.

I enjoyed what I played but unlike 3, 4, and primal which I 100%, I didn't even finish FC5. The reason, was because of the forced mission aspect, though I can see it kind of make sense, I didn't appreciate not being able to do all the side content since basically everything adds to the goal before a forced cutscene like event occurs.... multiple times.

Yes its good. The forced mission stuff kinda sucks but its my favorite setting in the series so far

So, the game is split up into three regions. In order to progress the story in a region, you have to build up a meter, which is accomplished by doing activities like completing side missions, liberating bases, and so on. Once you pass a certain threshold, the game will force you to do the story mission for that region no matter what you're doing at the time. The system... works, but it kind of hinges on forcing you to do side content and then interrupting you when you might be doing something else.

That said, I still liked the game a lot. I think my biggest pet peeve is that your character is like walking tissue and goes down in a pretty realistic amount of time. Kind of not fun at times considering it's a giant open world with mass amounts of spawning enemies.

This but it was totally fun for me, the constantly respawn of enemies keeps you in your toes and utilizing your teammates

The action just keeps going and going even if you dont want it to lol

I enjoyed the setting a lot tbh, it just had such a great feel.. wish they had loaded up even more with content whether that was collectibles or lore. This is a game where I enjoyed not being caught indoors in underground bunkers, but the story is weird and zany and will grab you into those type of situations.

Sorry, I realized I made a mistake in my post. There are actually several mandatory story missions in each region (two or three), but once you're done, you're free to keep playing and clean up, yes.

The problem is that once you clear a region, enemies tend to stop spawning there, so you want to take care of any "kill three patrols!" in that area before you move on otherwise you have to wait until the *end* of the game to come back and finish those up.

You should try 5, it is broken but in good ways and it's very fun. The guns for hire system alone makes it worthwhile, I was having fun with the two pilots for much of the game.
