If rent prices were affordable and pay was fair, most people would have been financially able to take a month or two off. What are they doing to fix the work force crisis?? Why are businesses allowed to short staff and pretend to the public that its the workers who wont go? They want hours and you wont staff the business because its cheaper for you. What are they doing to incentivize businesses to pay living wages? What are they doing to force landlords to rent for fair prices? We desperately need to raise wages to accommodate for the inflation weve seen recently. As is commonly (and correctly) said, the minimum wage needs to he $28-33/hr if we want a fighting chance. No, our country DOESNT need to have an entire class of people who starve and constantly stress over finances. EVERY job needs to pay a living wage or it needs to shut down.
