Do you think Trudeau should reopen the border now?

A coalition of 24 industry organizations and 75 House of Representatives from BOTH sides demand Justin Trudeau to REOPEN the BORDERS NOW!!

They urged Biden to get Trudeau to lift the borders now BEFORE the July 21st date after they extended the border closure yet again which hopefully will be the final closure as many demand they reopen now for non-essential travelers

Last month, the administration extended restrictions barring non-essential travel at the Mexican and Canada borders but the US Travel association representing airlines, casinos, hotels, manufacturers demand them to ease entry now and to get Canada on board to reopen before the summer season ends

Lawmakers said if the restrictions are not lifted, the US could lose 1.1 million jobs and 175 billion by the end of the year as many states rely on border travel for tourists.

Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau maintained that he wanted the country partially vaccinated of at least 70% before reopening as the country is almost there with 68% with many conservative provinces still lagging on vaccination but he believes that date should be the final date of closure

But some americans cannot wait that long after a year of being barred from entering with families being separated and canadians and americans owning homes on both sides who haven't seen their property to maintain it.

Industry and US officials told reuters they do not expect them to lift restrictions soon as both sides are still hashing out the details on border reopening

But with no plan for covid passports to prove people have been vaccinated, it may be a tough road for fully vaccinated people to get to the other side as the pain continues for at least another 14 days

Do you think it's time for Trudeau to reopen with America?

i didn't say we didn't have our own problems. but an influx of *a lot* of people would not help with our lacking vaccination rate.

fuck it

and we are owning up to the dead native children, unlike a certain country who seems to like to pretend *still* that there's no racism problem.

yeah we're not perfect, neither are you, so shut the fuck up and deal with your own shit

Of course he should keep it closed. You see... When the US sends its people, they're not sending their best. They're sending people that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems. They're bringing drugs, they're bringing crime, they are rat-lickers. And some, I assume, are good people.

oh look lying again. A vocal minority is not a representation of the country. You don't have nation wide protest because people think everything is okay. You don't have people settle for a joe biden just to get a trump out of office because people think everything is okay. You don't have state and national reform and funding towards BLM and police reform because everything is okay.

But I get it, you're a sensitive canuck who like to feel better by ignoring all of your problems and making up a boogey man so you can feel better for repeatedly electing an oil loving chinese lapdog.

yeah it's not like they were trying to force the natives to sell their land for $2/acre just a few years ago or that Canada doesn't officially recognize any of their territory.

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2015/aug/03/canada-first-nation-land-rights

Those government forced boarding schools that's been all the rage. Those were still going on until 1997. But yeah, canada totally stopped dicking around their natives in the 1900's LOL!

the pipleline he's been fighting for pretty much since his first election and has spent hundreds of millions of tax dollars fighting for in court? often against canadian natives who don't want the pipeline in their territory and don't want the ships ruining their waters?
