As for the 'they're only high for their design' argument, I think it could apply to Fran and maybe Shadow or Kain here, but not much else. Rango posted... I even have a soft spot for Cyan even though I know he's considered not good in the series. Cyan is great! Very underrated apparently. 50th- Black Mage 70th- White Mage 76th- Red Mage 87th- Fighter 97th- Monk 98th- Thief The FFI rankings caught me by surprise, I know Black Mage is always on top (I expect many of his votes were from Vivi fans), but the others not so much.
