Hosting the show is in her contract, she points out the ESPN has had lazy history with their diversity hirings and has been under pressure to fix that, so they breach her contract in order to cover their own skin.

This isnt a story about a white woman complaining that shes getting replaced by a black woman. This is a woman complaining that her fake as fuck employer is screwing her over in order to improve their public image.

As for Nichols, I could see them letting her contract as host of The Jump lapse. After describing the incident as "disheartening," Silver told reporters that he doesn't believe a professional with an established track record and good reputation should have her career "erased by a single comment."
