I think Gura's subscription count went up faster, but I'm not sure. Vtubers have gotten more exposure, so I assume with that foundation set it's easier for subscriptions to go up more quickly in general.

Yeah at this point there's already a large set fanbase in Hololive, so it's not out of the question to think that a chunk of that fanbase will just subscribe to the next talent sight unseen.

She's so fucking happy she ended stream. I saw her stream had 50k viewers so I went to check it out, she was collecting the last of her axolotls and she showed off her blue axolotl. She counted 29 full boxes of 80 plus almost 40 extra. She gave it a nametag. I don't play Minecraft but I looked it up, blue axolotl is nearly the same rate as a shiny and she went way over odds. So happy for her. I don't watch Kanata but I know that clip will be viewed a lot.

I know the feeling. It's blown up a lot lately. All I really watch any more are Calli, NijiEN and Pikamee

Part of the problem is that I'm also coming across clips and spending time watching those as well. With Japanese clips I have to watch to see the subs, but with English vtubers I can at least keep the video in the background while I work.

Just like streaming. But, most indie vtubers are garbage. The only one I saw that had potential was the Goblin streamer but, she has zero desire to get big.

I only watch Gura and Mori. Nyaaaners too. I like having options. I was introduced to Mori and she and gura blew me away.

I like Pikamee too and Coco but, any of the Japanese only? Nah. No disrespect but, I usually watch these at work and can't listen to subs.

Regular streaming being oversaturated doesn't mean vtubing isn't oversaturated. People talk about things on the internet being oversaturated all the time. Like when some streamer gets mentioned and people go "literally who?"
