Andromeda can be described as 'mildly pleasant'. The villain is flatter than a sheet of paper, while the new setting in general doesn't really grab your attention...

On the flipside you have a jump pack and can vault onto surfaces.

the gameplay itself is pretty fun

I have been loving the trilogy remaster. Im maybe halfway through the third game.
I have purchased and want to play Andromeda to see for myself if it is good or bad.

Honestly, it bored me more than anything. So many of the maps took the design philosophy of Giant maps with nothing in them. The shooting was fun enough, but the reason I never finished was because it was just uninteresting. The graphical bugs never really bothered me at all.

I heard it tried to go back to the style of the first game, what with large maps to explore in a vehicle. This made me more interested to try it out because I think the first ME is also the best

Its fine.

The enemy you are facing just isn't nearly as interesting as the reapers but the combat is great and it still has at least some of the things that made Mass Effect great.

And the premise under cut the entire franchise

It's been a while since I've played, but IIRC It changes the gameplay from mostly linear and focused into typical open world type of stuff (giant map, clear these outposts, etc), and the open world isn't particularly compelling in terms of atmosphere. IIRC it was like a giant desert planet. There might be more open world planets but I don't remember clearly or maybe I didn't get that far.

I never got through more than maybe 1/4 or maybe a little more when I originally played, it just started boring me. The animation and such never bothered me much.

I love the original trilogy and have been playing the legendary editions. I was thinking about giving Andromeda another go after I finish ME3 but I think I may be pretty Mass Effect'd out by the time I'm done, and I can't imagine having the endurance to go through it, especially the first few hours.

Andromeda is great the enemies are sub par kett are a bad enemy especially after the reapers

Depends. When you play the first 3, did you think "I wish there was a lot more space in-between everything with nothing in it"?

It had a lot of performance issues for me, particularly around settlements, that made it hard to keep playing. I think its biggest issue is the very slow build-up in the beginning.
