24 y/o Marcus Anthony Eriz and his 23 y/o girlfriend, Wynne Lee were the suspected couple in the white vehicle that shot at a car because the driver of that vehicle gave them the finger which killed 6 y/o Aiden Leos!!

They were taken into custody outside their home in Costa Mesa on Sunday when the California Highway Patrol said they are expected to be charged with murder over the little boy's death

Eriz works in the auto industry and is a gun enthusiast as both are being held on 1 million bail

Aidan was shot in the backseat of the car driven by Joanna Cloonan, his mother who was driving him to Kindergarten because apparently she gave the drivers a middle finger which got Marcus angry and proceeded to shoot at their vehicle striking Aiden

The road rage incident stemmed from a perceived unsafe lane change which resulted in the mother flipping them off before the passenger shot at them

The boy's mother said she heard her son scream "mommy my tummy hurts" and stopped immediately while bystanders quickly ran to try and save the boy's life before being rushed to hospital where he died

A 500,000 erward was offered leading to the arrest and the DA urged the couple to turn themselves in before it gets worse for them

A Gofundme page was made for the family and has raised thousands for the grieving family

The arrest came just days after an open casket memorial service was held for Aiden at Calvary Chapel in Yorba Linda where he was a student in the area.

The mother said she wants nothing more than to find justice though it won't bring back her son she wants the perpetrators to pay.

Heartbreaking. This is a good example of why you should never engage in road rage, especially if you have a child in the car, though

A middle finger is pretty tame, so much so I'd hardly call it road rage. Then again I guess in the US where any random could have a gun, people should be walking on eggshells all the time in case an idiot goes off.

PS. This guy looks like a total asshole. Even if he wasn't associated with this story and someone posted him elsewhere I'd think the same thing. You know you can often tell the energy people give off in pictures and his are all screaming "douchebag".

I'd classify it as road rage even if it's pretty mild. If it's something you wouldn't do outside the perceived safety of your moving vehicle then it qualifies in my mind. Anyway, as a guy with a small child, I would never give someone the finger on the road with her in the car because you don't know how people will react to that stuff. They could shoot you or follow you to your home. People are nuts on the road

Depends on the circumstances of the shooting

whoever fired the gun should be charged and I hope they spend the rest of their life in prison, and depending how involved the other person was in the shooting and whether the gun was theirs, they should face anything from the same punishment to possibly none at all

Much more common for people to do that in their cars. I've seen lots of fingers, yelling, tailgating, and other forms of assholery on the road. Cut someone off and you're likely to get the finger but someone breaking in line at the grocery store is likely to get a more reserved response.

I've literally seen men come to blows outside my house in actual road rage. I live on a busy main road. This should have been a non story, but of course in the US someone (and not even a gangster or something) has to shoot a car for getting flipped off. Only rebels and degenerates have guns round here.

Marcus shot at a car so what did he expect? His GF was part of the incident. I don't know if she expected him to do this so can't say if she deserves the same sentence but her BF needs death.
