An interesting observation.
The Archipelago map markers start at 0/99, completely are completely separate from the Mondstadt and Liyue markers.
So I imagine we can expect Inazuma to be a separate map with its own markers, too?

Golden Apple Archipelago suddenly became huge today. It's no Dragonspine, but it's definitely fun to explore and has large-scale puzzles on each island I explore so far

Pretty sure Ive done literally all of the side quests (theres a shitload of secrets) and Ive gotten 28 / 32 conches. Im guessing the last four will unlock with the Samurai robot.

I doubt it. There's only four conches left, and the islands being underwater is something you learn about with the 28 I've found so far.

So with a new area and new gear coming, I can't help but wonder if, when they inevitably eventually raise the level cap, they will have to rebalance Noelle's stat scaling.

They can't keep a 1.5x DEF -> ATK scaler PLUS talent damage multipliers going forever. It's already the reason why she becomes OP when hyper-invested.

That weapon:
Energy recharge substat, +6% skill dmg, on skill removes 3 energy but recovers 9 energy over 6 seconds (10sec cooldown), works while the character is off-fielded.

Again, it's awful for Sayu, you should go elemental mastery if you want groupwide heals and Traveler Electro can help her enough. For damage you likely want something that greatly improves her skill damage or ATK% / anemo damage

A 6* would become legendary-tier, something we'd get like once a year or on very special occasions, with extremely low chance to unlock.

There's nothing wrong with 6* items or chars, what matters is HOW Mihoyo implements it. Regardless of how greedy they seem, IMO they do have a vague sense of balance and try to be fair.

Its hard to rework a cash gacha game like this cause you cant WEAKEN characters, only boost them or make difficulty different and then rework characters.

So if they do raise level cap - they have to figure out a few things.

if theyre going to rework difficulty and design.

if theyre going to rework certain characters and skills. If they do they cant make characters worse.

and then the cost of upgrades cannot maintain the same plateau its currently on. Getting a character to 90 is expensive as fuck already - 100 would be mind boggling expensive unless they find a way to make materials easier to come by.

which, again, goes with the ever increasing roster of characters where many people who are not whales are not going to pull for characters they cannot level.

theres a very good chance they just introduce a system where you can just elevate a 5* to a 6* variant. But miyoho is greedy as fuck and would love a way to gacha 6* weapons.

It would be pretty unorthodox. I'd expect 6* weapons to be made into rewards for an expanded spiral abyss. Something like "beat floor 20 with 108 stars total to get this weapon"

And it would be basically impossible without C6 5* characters and R5 5* weapons.

AFAIK, Lector and Herald shields are damaged by reactions, not by damage.
So you use someone like Ganyu or Eula to quickly reduce their HP to critical and after they go into shield phase you hit them with skills/bursts that cause a lot of reactions, like Klee's burst, Ganyu's burst, Xiangling skill and burst, Fischl skill, Venti burst all activated at the same time.

For Heralds, you can keep them frozen while they're shielded. The biggest challenge is that you're affected by the skill&burst cooldown increase debuff.
For Lectors, make sure you never get hit, or else they'll drain away your burst energy.

I gather the lectors together, then combine Ganyu, Klee, Venti bursts and it's over.

Well I threw a 10 pull on the Klee banner for a Fischl and out popped my first Keqing. My last pull was Eula so this was a nice surprise. Not sure if Ive even ever gotten a non pity 5* lol.

Sadly I wont be using her due to no resources but uhh I guess she can score me a few primos in the tea pot?

Keqing is probably going to become dead weight when Raiden drops so don't bother, sad as it sounds. Consider the guaranteed pity the real reward.
