Probably a 'Thank you for your sacrifices during this pandemic.'

Then frontline workers will get ptsd like issues because of the work and get no formal support from their hospitals or healthcare system.

Itll probably be another decade afterwards when studies show the mental toll it took to carry the pandemic burdens of the country by the frontline workers.

Many now suffer in silence buried in their work. We all human and the experiences will be too overwhelming for some. there were healthcare frontliners taking their own lives around this time in 2020. There probably will be frontliners we will lose later this year.

Almost every company gave "essential" workers hazard pay and bonuses. There is a reason that 40-50% of people did better financially in 2020 than they did in 2019.

The hospital I work at just recently (last pay period) gave us like 400 bucks, which was the only monetary compensation we've received since this whole pandemic began. There's also been random meals and other things of that nature.

No. I worked for $15/hr the entire time.

No incentive, no bonus, no hazard pay.

Got paid more and got a bonus but the company itself made record profits and the CEOs all got massive bonuses for last year while we now get paid regular pay with no increases for the foreseeable future.

FedEx package handler here. We got a $2 pay raise for the first couple months. They also provided us with cloth masks and gloves (and still have disposable masks daily for anyone who needs them).

I got discounted lunches at work, nothing else.

None for my team, though I think it's understandable considering our place of work is under lockdown and strict protocols for visits. Interaction with other ppl from outside of work is very limited.

I got $100 worth of gift cards.

No raise though. Decided dying because of unmasked idiots wasn't worth that.

Apart from the occasional customer giving me and my co-workers a hard time regarding mask wearing and/or social distancing, not much.

I got a $50 Outback Steakhouse gift card from my station manager about a month ago, though.

My job gave us a one time payout of something in the $100 range for pandemic pay, besides what we normally get paid. Besides that, if you catch the virus, you're granted around 50 hours of COVID leave. Anything after that is taken out of your PTO (personal time off).

Working at Costco, we got a few of things:

• Hazard pay, still going on right now. 1.50-2.00 an hour more
• A one time stip payment of $1200 which hasnt gotten to us despite being promised months ago due to our lovely Canadian government holding it for whatever stupid reason
• If you showed symptoms at the screening process (first thing every day), whether you had Covid or not, you got sent home and paid in full for that day
• Different warehouses did different things but our manager often hired catering (which helped out local shut-down restaurants with their business) as well as random food trucks (with free vouchers paid for by the warehouse) to come in and feed us as a thank you, so that was pretty nice.

i worked with covid patients in a covid unit who were admitted to the hospital, and i did patient care, literally like in contact with the patient.

i did not get hazard pay. but the hospital did provide free meals throughout the day when I was working for a span of 2 weeks. (i'm thinking about $15 worth a day)

$5k bonus at the end of the year after being exposed to covid patients on a daily basis.

Never caught it, either.

In nursing we were offered $3 more per hour we worked in the covid unit. Only nurses could work that unit though while everyone else was still being exposed and got fucked over regardless.

Now its 400 days later and I have a bunch of homeless friends that worked with agent orange

$2/hr. extra for two months and then about $350 in bonuses.
Meanwhile we constantly had cases and bled staff like crazy while having a ton more cleaning to do.

We got an extra dollar an hour for like 2 weeks. Then our owners decided to change it to a performance incentive that was impossible achieve and framed it as a positive thing.

We had the busiest Christmas ever, got a $1000 bonus, but after taxes it was just over $500

That's what they told me. I work in the lumber industry and absolutely nobody got laid off in this business.

I work at a fairly big state university and have been at work every day during the pandemic. Our president sent out a few emails thanking specific departments for working during these times, but not ours. Ever. So, for being frontline essential, I got forgotten by the higher ups aaaaand thats about it.

Yep, crazy profits but no raises or bonus. I worked as a contractor traveling by plane between sawmills. Quit this job last winter.

One time bonus, stress since our store had signs to tell customers to wear a mask, but the customers took the mask off and wouldn't give workers any space.

Nurses got paid really good money for absolutely no reason and the main workforce (grocery/retail workers and shipping/receiving) got told to either fuck off, were cussed at, or got a $1/hr "pandemic bonus".

Seriously. It makes absolutely no sense that nurses were being offered $100/hr to work in "high risk" wards when the grocery store was PROBABLY the most dangerous place to be in terms of chances at getting infected. But this is all compounded by a culture or nurses constantly patting themselves on the back and always bitching/moaning on social media about HOW HARD their job is and normal people eating it up and clapping for them

And they got shafted too.

Work for a global, billion dollar company making record profits. They gave us cheap ass $0.02 pins that said "Heroes work here" or some stupid BS. Everyone just threw them right in the trash.
