Fortunately it's not as easy to hoard gas as toilet paper

First, people need to re-think their driving habits, as well as our civic infrastructure.
Secondly, the US has a huge reserve of crude oil it sits on in case of an emergency.
The question then becomes, what constitutes an emergency?
But ya, less is more nowadays, in every regard.

Well, with a ton of companies realizing there's no reason to pay the overhead for an office when their employees function just as well from home, I see commutes becoming less hectic over the next few years

Most trucking Jobs pay very well actually, it's the life and scheduling though that either scares most away. Or makes them resign within a few months or years.

The problem with finding truckers is a lot of states have closed "Self teaching" loopholes where if you got a permit and rode with a certified CDL holder you could get your CDL after logging a certain amount of hours and passing the test.

Now in a lot of states you need to go to a school which costs 20k+.

Also when holding a CDL even if you're in your private car your BAC legal limit is 0.0. On top of this you're beholden to federal DoT regulations towards controlled substances. So even if weed is legal in your state if you get selected for a test you can lose your license for something you did off work a week before.

Add in the long hours/being away from home/scheduling nightmares and high barrier for entry...its not exactly shocking were facing an unprecedented shortage of CDL holders.

If you're very empty, I think it's between $10 to $13, depending on how low you are and you charge it all the way up and how much electricity costs in the area.

The reason I bought mine when I did is because they were still offering free supercharging for the life of the car. They got rid of that a few months after I ordered mine.
