I treated it like a dark souls game and the main draw was that I could play it together with friends. It's not something I would play by myself.

My friends really loved it for a while there, but apparently the playerbase has dropped off a lot lately.

It's not my sort of thing, but I thought it looked like a fun, well-made game regardless.

Really? I finally tried it today and as soon as I finished the tutorial, I had somebody join my world before I even touched the large crystal. I felt bad because I wanted to explore around, but at the same time, didn't want to bore the guy the death. Started shooting a dog, then realized it must have been his. Died a couple of times and left the session, then set it to offline.

Playing with random people seems like it could be a ton of fun, but for a first playthrough, I'd rather do it solo as I learn the world/system.

Yeah, I definitely planned on giving it a go, since I try not to judge a game by its first few minutes, and I definitely didn't dislike it...I just needed to make room and it was the unfortunate victim :P

I know those days. I recently bought an external 2tb tho.

I dunno how someone can't enjoy how tight and powerful the guns feel. Every bullet only feels as good as your skill level since they all go where they should.

doesn't suck, has some good parts

Last boss solo (I don't know if they've patched it, I beat him a week after the game came out) is one of the worst experiences I've ever had fighting a boss though. It was a really boring 10-15 minute slog that took no skill and really bogged down the ending

Not sure why people hate it?

Playing it solo to completion on Hard was fantastic. And playing co-op with my two best friends was incredible and felt like a different game.

I'd rate it as a 10/10 especially considering the small team that made it.
