The franchise is still being carried by the prequel trilogy even to this day. Meanwhile the sequal trilogy is all but dead and being slowly retconned towards either another timeline at the least, or out of existence at the most.

What do you mean by "carried"? All anyone says about those is that they're terrible, or, at best, cheesy, and had like 2 good scenes.

What content are you talking about aside from the mandalore? Obi wan, and the Ashoka series are the most hyped things for star wars. Both of whom blew up in popularity thanks to the clone wars.

And im not sure if the sw rebels sequal is happenings still but most of that shows quality was thanks to the clone wars.

TROS is the worst Star Wars film, which is quite a feat considering how bad AOTC was.

That said the new trilogy still averages out to be better than the prequels.

In terms of acting, effects, and cinematography, the Disney trilogy obliterates the prequels.

In terms of memorable characters and cool ideas, though, the prequels win. Too bad the writing, acting, and effects are so wonky and painful sometimes.

The Disney Star wars after tFA fail at being movies. TLJ is a Vanity project and TROS tries to fix what he messed up.

The prequels are better than the sequels, and the first film of both series is by far the best of each one.

Rise of Skywalker is the only one as bad as the prequels in some regards, but even still the performances and visuals are among the best in the series. I think the final stretch of 40 minutes or so is genuinely good stuff.
