Ther is a thory that Butch is the one who keyed Vincent's car. I can see the motivation, but can't figure out when he had the time to figure out which car was Vincent's.

Someone keyed it. It just seems unclear who did it - to me at least. I saw the film a dozen times probably when someone suggested it was Butch.

It's kind of the "what was in the briefcase?" discussion.

Part of what I enjoy about the film is the unresolved questions.

In the directors cut, Tarantino said that the guy playing "Marcellus" - whose name I can't recall - cut his head shaving it and Tarantino thought it was a cool quirk so they basically just said, "Let's roll with the bandaid".

I have however, heard a long theory that the briefcase contained Marcellus' soul and that it was extracted from the back of his head - hence the bandaid.

When the movie came out there was a guy in my dorm who was a huge fan. Understandable, it's a good flick. But this guy was a little over the top. One night - and after quite a few beers - we quite literally gaslighted him about none of us recalling a briefcase in the movie.

"Wait. A briefcase?"

"Who?"

Went on for hours.
