Why is nobody talking about Monica getting her powers in this episode? So basically she is linked to the powers of the Mind Stone.

When I walked out the theater, I wasn't like "shit, can't wait to see more multiverse stuff because this movie opened the doors". It was more like "fuck, I think we just got played lol".

i loved the comics-style multiverse tease when it happened. but once they decided to actually move on them for real, i think it was a bit of a mistake. Beck just so happens to hit on a cover story that becomes real at basically the same time? meh.

it's not a big deal either way, but, in hindsight, i think they could have done things a little better.

Yeah, it does seem too convenient. Just gonna chalk it up to it being Sony plus plans changing between then because of the pandemic. Pretty sure WandaVision was supposed to come out right before Doctor Strange 2 and the first show was gonna be Falcon and Bucky.

The grief stricken portrayal really hit me hard.

For a moment i felt like what would it feel like to have that power to bring back those i lost and what would it mean to the world.

Just this imagination helped me realize how much i miss the folks i lost a couple months ago & a few days ago.

Honestly if Evan Peters is a part of the crew, then I think it's a possibility. Ryan Reynolds said he's still deadpool, and we know of the rumors surrounding Tobey Mcguire and Andrew Garfield coming over. Hugh Jackson coming on would not be a surprise. However, this also means the other actors playing the X-men are probably coming over. James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, Patrick Stewart. Although they need to get replace Sophie Turner with someone else. She's a terrible Jean. Can't act for shit lol.

Feel like there's no way he won't. Evan Peters is only here to lean into the weird sitcom thing, and it's not like Disney doesn't have the money to get Aaron back.

Plus, Aaron would still be under a multi movie contract since he's only appeared in two films including his Winter Soldier cameo. They might be able to renegotiate this show as another film somehow.

At the least, I'll be disappointed if he doesn't cameo in some way.

Well obviously Ryan is still Deadpool. Feige confirmed Deadpool 3 is happening within the MCU. But keep the rest of that travesty of X-Men away from the MCU. Especially Jennifer Lawrence. FUCK that.

Yeah this show is great. I'm thinking maybe Westview was already some sort of SWORD experiment which was why Wanda had no guilt taking it over and there's no kids there. Would explain why the SWORD director wants her dead.

No idea where they'll take this Pietro plot. But a Magneto reveal would be absolutely bonkers.

Either way, neither film is canon to the MCU, at least as of now. MCU already has their own DD in Charlie Cox and there was a version of Ghost Rider in Agents of SHIELD. It was the Reyes version, not Cage's Johnny Blaze though.

i don't know why this is so hard to grok.

they may be bringing characters over from other universes (maybe, for now. and if not now, almost certainly soon.) those characters will likely remember what happened to themselves from their prior universe. but those events still never happened in the universe that we've been watching up until now. That also doesn't mean they all are coming over. DOFP timeline Quicksilver moving universes doesn't mean that suddenly Magneto's attack on DC happened in the MCU, or that Magneto crossed over, too, or that a Magneto crossover won't come from, say, the main comics universe.

If they want to make AoS's Ghost Rider canon, then Johnny Blaze presumably is canon. Unseen of course but he's alluded to when Reyes talks about how he become Ghost Rider

Yeah, the Ghost Rider that gave Reyes his powers was never actually shown, so they could def make it Nic Cage if they really wanted to (and had the money, which they do). That would be kinda cool.

More evidence that it isn't DoFP Quicksilver. The casting choice was very intentional and can't be taken any other way than to hint at mutants, don't get me wrong, but I'm not convinced the multiverse has been opened yet.

Yeah, it being Evan Peters is definitely just a meta joke at the moment. But him going by Pietro right now doesn't rule out him being from the Fox universe, since no one in Westview is going by their real name, and this guy's real personality is more than likely being suppressed as well.

So it very well might be Fox Quicksilver brought to the MCU verse and having his memories suppressed by whoever's behind Westview. But claiming the multiverse has been confirmed by this is jumping the gun atm.
