Yeah, I was expecting the ring to collapse at the very least. But just some sparklers on the turnbuckles and a few explosions on the outside (when Moxley is in the centre of the ring) makes Eddie's protection look really silly. I hope he gets a short programme with Omega to make up for it.

Eh, I disagree with this. Everything the Fiend does is super hokey and stupid, but it's a suspension of disbelief issue where the Fiend himself is hokey and stupid.

This is just a straight up glaringly horrible botch issue where a guy just sold sparklers that were 10 feet away from him as if he died and there's just no world where anybody should have thought that'd look good. There is no suspension of disbelief there because it wasn't hokey, stupid nonsense, it was something played 100% straight and just so poorly executed you can't help but look at it and laugh.

EDIT: Not the worst thing in wrestling, but it was very, very bad.

They could try play it off that Mox was dazed / concussed and so Kingston was obscuring his view and then passing it off as more severe than it was purely to buddy up with him and stab him in the back later. Obviously not as intended but there's an out at least
