How Not To Summon A Demon Lord S2 - I remember watching Ep1 of S1 and that was it since it was censored. Such integrity.

Fruits Basket Final Season - Might watch when its finally over, but well see.

Shaman King - Will watch when it is released from Netflix jail.

Zombie Land Saga S2 - Still need to get back to S1 first oops.

Tokyo Revengers - Wow a show that actually sounds cool.

Its still big and the manga is heading to the final arc or something I think

just my opinion, but I think MHA is a series that suffers from having the seasonal format instead the old weekly format. A lot of the characters could benefit from having filler arcs to flesh them out a little more.

Although that would make the other problem feel worse which is the progression is kinda slow. We're 5 years into this anime now and they're still first years at UA. I think that's why everyone always ask about a potential timeskip.

MHA is not exactly new anymore! It's not the next big thing, it already WAS the big thing, and now it's winding down.

Why do people act like just because it's not the absolute #1 thing it's practically dead, it's still incredibly popular! Still getting a 3rd movie later this year even!

The thing debuted in 2014, that's 7 years ago now. Even the anime started in 2016, already 5 years ago now. It's hard to keep up momentum like that for a long period of time especially while you have up and comers nipping at the heels. In general it feels like shonen is opening up a bit more in terms of choices to go to, which just means more quality series' for everyone so it's a win win situation

Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle is good times
Re:Zero S2 is continued quality if you like that
Yuru Camp S2 is at least as good as S1
Wandering Witch is kinda love/hate

I haven't kept up with Kemono Jihen, but what I saw was pretty great.

The worst thing about Redo of a Healer is that nobody gives a shit about it. Everyone was screaming about this nightmare series that was going to make Twitter and Tumblr explode, Goblin Slayer 2.0, and almost nobody is watching or cares about it at all. I think the decision to have actually full on hentai scenes actually ruined it's chance at notoriety, because when your series is actual hentai nobody cares about any controversy.

It only worked for that brothel show last year because that was a comedy, and because nobody saw it coming.

Yeah I feel like it was following in the footsteps of the Big 3, heading for a drawn out megaseries length. But now what's in is being fast which puts it in an awkward position. Who really wants to watch the students just fight each other in low stakes for an entire cour? (a lot of people ik but not ALOT a lot)

Another thing about Ishuzoku Reviewers is that Funimation had licensed the show, then dropped it after three episodes. Everyone joked "lol Funi. Do your research" even though IR anime goes further than the manga. This year, they passed on RoH. Sentai Filmworks licensed it, but it's only on HIDIVE - not even Crunchyroll - and its "Goblin Slayer moment" is in episode 2 and is heavily censored. It's actually funny how minor the reaction has been given the hype, and all the outrage moved on to Mushoku Tensei

With Redo I think it's not controversial because no one's pretending it's anything other than it is. Something like Shield Hero is way more insidious. Redo has been reasonably popular though, it just doesn't spread, because you should know you're not going to like it before you'd even try watching it.

Mushoku Tensei is just wild, because I was so repulsed by it by a few minutes into episode 2 that it was a hard drop, but I gave it anither shot and there's some really fantastic stuff there, but then every once in a while I'm just struck by how horrendous the lead can be. I really like some of the stuff there, but what's bad is so repugnant that I straight up could never tell another human being to watch it.

Of course, even the bad press that was getting seems to have been overshadowed by...the other anime we were discussing yesterday, lol.
