Reminds me of a funny story wrestling story I've heard. One wrestler saved a promoter from a rough fan in the crowd, and the promoter thanked the wrestler by giving him a $200 bonus. The next day, when the wrestler got his payment for his work the other day, he found out he got his promised sum, minus the $200.

Joe seems to want to hear himself talk, so if AOC asks for a lot, he is gonna rebuff some of it and make it look like he is coming down hard against the socialists....so better AOC ask for more and get a little less back....sad that's how it's gotta work but seems like that's the way it is now

That reminds me of a similar wresting story. Basically one guy had answered an ad for a wrestling contest, ended up winning, but then was snubbed the prize money that was advertised. He only got a small amount instead. When the wrestler complained, the promoter said something like i missed the part where thats my problem.

Later on the promoter was robbed and the wrestler had the chance to interfere to stop the criminal, but he let him pass. Then when the promoter confronted him about it, the wrestler used the same sentence/excuse the promoter had used and threw it back in his face !

Pretty epic

In all honesty the idea of a 1 time check is pretty stupid. What are you gonna do pay for ONE months rent or car payment? Its a flawed concept. And lets be honest, half the people who get it will use it on cigarettes and casinos. Maybe donate to trumps 2024 campaign.

Dude, that story is so much more fucked up than just that. Turns out the criminal ended up car jacking some old man and shot him. He died before ambulances could save him.
