The criminal underworld is mostly controlled by misogynistic men so to see a woman rise up through the ranks in that kind of world would be really cool to see and can make for a great story. I hope they do it.

Funnily enough this almost perfectly explains the story of the movie Hustlers.

Birds of Prey is another good example.
