It's because they expect everyone acts like they do when we don't. Any time they accuse us of something you should be aware it's because it is a thing they do or want to do.

It makes sense when you think about it. Right wing politics is more or less constructed on the idea of "fuck you, got mine." So it shouldn't be surprising when people who subscribe to that philosophy assume everyone else does the same. Which is why right wing people always interpret attempts by the left to benefit all of humanity as some veiled personal power grab. Like climate science is a scam because those nefarious scientists are only claiming to be trying to keep the planet inhabitable so they can somehow make tons of money and have power. And restructuring the economic system to be more bottom up is a communist plot to focus power within the Clinton family. Or something. I don't quite get the specifics of how their brains work.

These people are practically openly acknowledging they're in a cult and that their leader used them but rather than stepping back and harshly scrutinizing their life choices they're doubling down and saying they're gonna continue forward without Trump or looking for a new dictator to direct them.

I genuinely don't see how these people can be reasoned with or ever made a productive, peaceful part of the union again. They just don't fit with any civilized society and they are immune to rational discourse and education.
