You never actually need fancy combos, that's mostly to attack someone's spirit. Get 2 1/2 basic combos, and you win.

And also, honestly, because the extensive stuff can close out a match without needing another sequence. 2 instead of 2 1/2. But even then, you have to get someone into a corner first.

It was released 2008, and I only really got into it in 2010. I had prior experience, but beating your mates is nothing compared to beating people who have been playing different versions of the same game since before you were born.
