I guess I would agree, a movie can have a stupid plot but still have really fun or thoughtful writing.

And some movies have the foundation of a solid, great plot but then suffer absolute garbage execution like 1BR.

Those movies all have plots, mr zithers not really. lol north by northwest also decides to mute the conversation where cary grant and john williams (? might be someone else whoops) discuss the plot of the movie to explain why everything to that point happened. cuz plot isnt important. --- ... Disagree. Plot drives other elements, like character development. I can't really enjoy a movie, book, or anything else without a good plot.
