whichever one it is im sure lots of people have said its overrated for whatever reason. ive heard ff fans say it about most games in the franchise.

4-9 and 12 are also good.

12 is never good. Sure the world is beautiful, but my god is the story awful. I mean, it gives Metal Gear Solid 5 a run for its money on which game has the worse storyline.

Story is indeed awful but the party is charming enough to make up for it

XVI's combat is being done by the guy who did the combat for DMC5, so there is that.

I did get a DMC-combat vibe (have only played the first couple though), so I don't know how I feel about that >_>

Of all the good final fantasies, 12 is indeed the worst, but it's still in the good category, unlike 13 and 15

What type of gameplay is it?

Need to see more of it but itll probably be a buy for me. Im a little worried that there wont be a party but well see.

See... I didn't mind 13. Sure it wasn't great, but at least I could somewhat understand the story they were aiming for. 12 is just like.... I hate the empire... an hour later, they are going on a random journey and never mention the empire until much later in the game.

Fair point.

Despite the character and story qualms of 12, I personally managed to play through it like a regular final fantasy, doing all the side quests etc. 13, was just "beat this game, it gets better at a certain chapter but not much better."

I wish they would go back to turned based combat. I really liked it.

I will admit that the game itself is fairly impressive for the scale that it was, as I played the original on the PS2. I beat the game and never played it again afterwards. I'm a story nut, and tbh, it just makes me sad thinking about how far the series has fallen since 10, even 10-2.

It sounds like it has FF12 music. So naw.

I'll get it on Steam sale for like $20. It looks like an uninspired dark souls game.
