Feather Duster: 7.5/10
Quick whip-like motion, hard and fast leaves a stinging pain. Most times are bearable but repeated blows with sting for a longgg time. Also cleans up dust really well

Open hand: 3/10; being slapped in the face is the only time it ever hurt.
Closed hand/fist: 5/10; those were rough till I learned how to block them.
Pots and pans: 6/10; were usually used as a projectile weapon so I could usually dodge them, but the couple times they hit fucking SUCKED.
Lamp: 3/10; Luckily the one that I was hit with was one of those long thin ones so it just broke immediately and didn't do too much damage.
Wooden chair: 8/10; That day fucking sucked.
Knife:10/10; still have the scar wounds on my back over a decade later, fun stuff.

Man, I'm sorry for your childhood

I remember catching plenty of open hands as a kid, in my young mind it was probably a 10/10 but realistically the worst one ever was probably like a 4-5/10.

I feel like my parents only hit us because they thought that was what they where supposed to do, their heart was never really in it. Which is why by the time I was like 9 or 10 they just sort of stopped.

I used to watch my uncle BEAT my cousins asses though at family functions.

They all get a zero because I can't even remember the pain.

Then again I couldn't remember stepping into that ant hill either. Huh.

Aluminum Broom: 7/10 when it ain't bent/broken

Cord: 9/10 depending on how much torque was behind it and did they want to leave lashes and how much clothing did it hit.

Ear Twist: 5/10 more of a real punishment since all you feel is like an idiot.

Hair Grab: 1/10 Being a boy and almost always having short hair.

It all stopped when I hit middle school. Instead of talking back you just shut up and stay out of trouble. Literally. 9000/10 for crippling depression for adult.

Im 32 and where I grew up, it was common at the time for a kid to get the belt if they did something really bad, but marks were crossing the line.

The hickory stick drew blood at least once. My grandpa wielded that weapon exclusively and it was banished forever eventually. It was deemed OP.

Home invasion. And it's funny, I can remember the exact moment the fear began. I had just had a nightmare and gone into my parents bedroom to tell them about it. They didn't see me coming in because they were watching Prince of Tides on their bedroom TV. I couldn't bring myself to say anything, so instead I stood in their doorway quietly and watched the entire rape scene from that movie, starting at the point where the convicts were breaking in through the family's front door. I remember bursting into tears right as the second rapist was getting shot in the head. Finally, seeing that I was standing there, my dad promptly turned off the TV and brought me back to my room and beat me with jumper cables, and for years after that I was constantly worrying that convicts might show up at my front door with guns at any moment.
