Probably the only turn-based JRPG I ever really liked in any capacity.

But it's so damn cool.

I never beat it back in the day. Got stuck on the ghost ship. I couldn't figure it out for whatever reason.

I had a demo disc for it that I loved playing as a kid, but I didn't get the game itself until I was an adult and by then I didn't have as much free time for video games. I still haven't actually played the game itself. Just that demo.

I loved that game as a kid but got stuck in the robot area on the 4th disc. Went back and played it years later and can't believe I ever got stuck there. It is a really good game but some parts don't hold up quite as well. It's extremely linear for instance. I still think the battle system is the best turn based combat has ever been. I just wish you could have changed additions mid battle.

IIRC that one was confusingly laid out. Also IIRC You go back a second time

I really like it too. I need to continue it. I was playing it on my Vita but I got stuck at one point. Wasn't sure where to go. Gonna go charge my Vita now.

Yep. One thing that holds up from my memories is just how terrible some of the map design can be at times. Great backdrops and all, but the game would've really benefitted from a mini map. There's three identical areas interconnected in the prison as well. That threw me off today.

Honestly, I think a Warriors-style revival would be great.

The key to bringing this game back is multiple playable characters and emphasis on the combat.

If they can do something similar to FF7R, great, but I doubt that's likely.

I never finished it. Not sure if I ever will, but I think I'd have to restart from scratch either way. At any rate, the mechanics which had their issues in the first place just got worse and worse as the game progressed.

Great-looking game for the time and the whole power element was really cool.

If you have a PS3, you can play it on that. Thats what I play it on these days...

This could 100% work. Not only do that have 8 main playable characters, but loads of enemies, as well... They could definitely make that work...
