You are free to have your opinion. Don't conflate your OPINION on things to being fact.

You make amazing claims about the Green New Deal. You say it is impossibly expensive, you'd rather resources go to other things. That is fine.

The Green New Deal is about a future society that YOU don't care about. Nobody says you have to care about the future. Lots of people don't give a fuck and they don't have to. Shut your mouth about it. You trying to argue about it without having ANY facts or even CARING about it?

What the hell do you think is going to change about your life if the government focuses on environmental policy? Are you afraid that higher taxes will come into play? Are you concerned you won't be able to afford video games? The future you want is not impacted IN THE SLIGHTEST by the efforts of law makers around the WORLD to try and make a positive impact on our environment. None, at all.

Pro-Tip? You can still try and be a NEET all you want and the rest of us can try to make the planet work a little better. They are not mutually exclusive.

The US is already running a deficit and is in debt. We haven't declared bankruptcy yet so there's no reason to believe this single policy would cause us to.

On top of that the jobs created by the GND would get recycle back into the government via taxes as income is taxed and anything people buy is taxed.

someone has to clean them

its a jobs program. The benefit to nature is just an added bonus. the old jobs are going away because the industry is dying on its own. Something needs to replace it.

What I dont understand is why we arent making bills reducing the number of nuclear weapons we have since nuclear war is a far greater threat to the survival of the human race than climate change.

You do know arms control treaties are a thing, that the Trump administration pulled us out of one and didn't seriously start negotiations on extending another until it was almost too late to, and that it is an absolutely terrible idea to unilaterally reduce your nuclear weapon arsenal... Right?

You also realize there are different parts if government developing, defining and pushing different policies and laws for different things, too, right?
